About me:
Colin holds a B.A (Hons) degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Coventry University and trained with Cork Counselling Services.
Colin trained in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and as such draws from the person-centred model which views the client, as the expert in their life. Colin’s training also incorporated Existential and Gestalt therapies and philosophies, and he tailors his approach to each individual person he sits with. Colin’s role as a counsellor is to provide a non-judgmental and confidential space for you to explore the feelings or experiences that have caused you to seek support.
Colin works with clients collaboratively to try and help to understand their emotional responses to situations and gain an insight into their way of being. This can be an opportunity for clients to explore their relationship with self, others in their life, and broader society.
Colin has experience working with relationship issues, intrusive thoughts, suicidal ideation, stress, anxiety, grief and depression.
