About me:

The most important thing in therapy is the relationship that the client and the therapist form as they work together. Therapy is a big commitment of time, money, and emotional energy. It is therefore very important that the client feels safe, understood, and listened to, and that they like talking to the therapist they are working with. This philosophy guides Greta in all her work with clients.

Greta works according to the Two-Person Psychology approach, where therapist and client are equal partners in the client's healing journey. The key to any positive change starts with understanding of underlying themes, beliefs and habits which may result in a feeling of unhappiness or dissatisfaction and ultimately lead someone to seek therapy. Greta offers a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where these and other issues can be explored without judgement.

Greta primarily draws on the Humanistic / Person-Centred and Relational modalities in her work. When appropriate, she also integrates suitable elements of various other modalities, such as Attachment Theory, Jungian Psychology, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic Therapy, Object Relations Theory, CBT, and many others. She currently offers sessions to individual clients who are 18 years or older.

Greta is a qualified integrative psychotherapist, having completed her BA (Hons) Counselling and Psychotherapy degree at MTU in 2023.
