About me:
Lauren Carter is a warm and empathetic counsellor who works with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and life challenges, including depression, anxiety, loneliness, stress, anger, loss, bereavement, abuse, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and the ongoing emotional impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. She offers a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace.
Lauren holds a degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from PCI College and is a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). Using an integrative framework informed by person-centred values, she supports clients in recognising and understanding the patterns contributing to their emotional distress, while helping them move toward healing, clarity, and meaningful change.
Passionate about the connection between body and mind, Lauren has a particular interest in somatic and regulation-based approaches. While not formally trained in somatic therapy, she incorporates gentle, body-informed practices such as breathwork, grounding exercises, and mindful awareness to support emotional regulation and nervous system balance.
Many clients seek therapy with Lauren when feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to move forward. Whether navigating changes in career, relationships, identity, or lifestyle, she provides a compassionate and grounded presence, offering practical tools for managing anxiety, building resilience, and facing the unknown with greater confidence.
Lauren believes that emotional support should be accessible to all and is committed to working collaboratively with each client to help them feel heard, supported, and empowered.
