About me:
Precious Hlatshwayo is an experienced and compassionate psychodynamic psychotherapist with a trauma-informed approach to mental health and well-being. With a deep commitment to supporting individuals through their emotional and psychological challenges, Precious integrates a range of evidence-based modalities including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Person-Centred Therapy to create a safe, supportive, and empowering therapeutic environment.
Over the course of their career, Precious has worked extensively with individuals facing complex emotional issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. Their approach is grounded in psychodynamic principles, exploring the unconscious patterns and early life experiences that shape current behaviours and emotions. By combining this insight oriented work with mindfulness practices and a person-centred ethos, Precious helps clients build resilience, self-awareness, and lasting change.
In addition to their therapeutic practice, Precious has served as a Suicide Risk Assessor Officer, where they provided critical support and risk management for individuals in acute distress. Their expertise in suicide prevention and crisis intervention informs their sensitive, informed, and proactive approach to mental health care.
Precious is also dedicated to mental health education and advocacy. They have delivered impactful mental health awareness presentations and workshops across various organisations and schools throughout Ireland, promoting understanding, reducing stigma, and empowering communities with practical tools for emotional well-being.
With a calm, empathetic presence and a wealth of professional experience, Precious remains committed to fostering healing, growth, and self-discovery in every client they support.
