About me:

Sharon is as an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), with over 12 years of experience working as a psychodynamic therapist. Sharon graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as a Higher Certificate for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Sharon offers a safe, confidential space where individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. Sharon uses a guided therapy approach tailoring each session to focus on the mental, physical and emotional self of the individual. She has helped many clients discover and understand how past experiences may be influencing current behaviour and thought processes, enabling a journey for healing and ways of moving forward with life goals.

Sharon has worked extensively with Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), family support services, and community-based organisations. Sharon's vast experience includes working with various modalities, drawing on CBT, ACT, Psychodynamic, Solution-Focused, and DBT-informed approaches to support clients in developing resilience, self-awareness, and effective coping strategies.

Sharon provides face – to -face therapy to individuals above 18 years of age, with areas of speciality including anxiety, panic attack, PTSD, depression, bereavement, addiction recovery, self-esteem, relationship issues, suicide and self- harm ideation, post-natal depression, (sexual, emotional, psychological, physical abuse), bullying, family and learning disability support, same sex relationships, work place issues, student counselling, outreach support staffs and volunteers, post-Covid and lasting effects.
